Q: Why does a watch need a service ?

Apart from digital watches all other types of watches have moving parts, to ensure the moving parts run smoothly special oils are needed to ensure accurate time keeping. This oil needs changing on a regular basis. It is similiar to your car, which has to have a service once a year, we reccommend a watch is serviced at least one every three years.
